A weekend full of stories, music, and comedy! With this year’s theme Celebration, we mark five years of Storytelling Festival Nijmegen and explore all the reasons we have to celebrate: love, freedom, diversity, health, or simply life itself. Join us for three inspiring days guided by storyteller and comedian Soula Notos, our vibrant festival host.
On Self-Saturday, December 13, we turn inward and celebrate the many sides of ourselves. The evening offers three personal and powerful performances that mix storytelling and comedy in surprising ways. Başak Layiç opens with Divine Madness, a ritual journey through music and theatre exploring family, spirituality and the thin line between chaos and clarity. Annica Muller follows with This is Fucking Chaos, a raw and honest stand-up dramedy about life’s absurdity and the beauty hidden in disorder. The night closes with Fer Rodil’s Fer is on a Deadline, a moving and funny reflection on fear, death and the courage to live fully. Together, these performances remind us that celebrating the self also means embracing our flaws, dreams and inner chaos.
